The headline of this are John Stewart making fun of Donald Trump by calling him “man-baby”, but the talk was about so much more.
With The Daily Show not as prominent as it once was, many may have forgotten the impact Jon Stewart once had during an election cycle. For a certain generation, Stewart was their authoritative voice on American politics. Which in this crazy of an election cycle, many may be missing. So if you happen to fall in that category, this may be your lucky day.
In a recent installment of David Axelrod’s excellent political podcast “The Axe Files”, the two sit down and talk on a wide-range of topics including the effectiveness of the federal government and how television media is failing the public trust. What makes this a killer conversation is that Axelrod actually challenges Stewart on many core assumptions he carries about government, creating a fantastic back-and-forth.
While social media is going crazy today over Stewart calling Trump “man-baby” during their talk, that is probably the least interesting aspect of the hour-plus discussion that both Stewart and Axelrod have. You can see the entire thing yourself – and you absolutely should! – in the video below.
