Recent Gallup poll shows that the public favorability of the Democrats is at an all-time low.
Losing elections are always hard. Losing an election like how the Democrats lost the 2014 midterms, well that’s just down right brutal. But hold on, it’s about to get worse.
A recent Gallup poll shows that Democrats favorability with the American public is at a record-low with a 36% favorability rating. Democrats not only lost Independents in the 2014 midterms, but many Democratic voters have also lost support dropping 7 points from 88% to 81%.
Republicans on the other hand have been doing, not necessarily well, but consistent. Only gaining two points from this recent survey – 40% to 42% – Republicans have remained steady to the average voter and with such a huge dip by the Democrats, Republicans are now the more favorable party at this point.
Winning the majority of their races in the midterms withstanding, the average American voter isn’t necessarily crazy about the Republicans per say. But considering how badly the Democrats have fallen, for Republicans de-fault has to be the two sweetest words in the English language right about now.
